It can be difficult to create quality content and staying motivated during a crisis with so much uncertainty.  The COVID 19 outbreak has halted the world economy and disrupted day to day life for many.  For creators, entrepreneurs, business owners it is essential to stay motivated during these times and create quality content for our brands.

Here are a few things you can do to stay motivated while creating quality content during this pandemic:

Make The Best Of Your Daily Routine

First of all, make sure that your daily routine isn’t disrupted that much if possible.  In my case, I still exercise five days a week and take a 2 mile run 3 times a week which is exactly what I was already doing.

If you are one that meditates and/or reads in the morning, then keep doing so.  The key is to be active and find something that motivates you to continue creating good content.

Think about your WHY or your purpose to get up and wanting to thrive regardless if there is a perception that the world is changing or full of turmoil.

Plan Your Day And Your Content Producing Activities

“What shall I do today?”  If you’re asking that question then you are likely l not focused at all.  I know the coronavirus is a VERY serious epidemic but we cannot worry about something that we can’t control.  We can only prepare ourselves for prevention with no vaccines and chaotic testing (in some places).

You must plan to succeed and not to fail. Creating content is much easier when you have a plan in place so I highly recommend that you have a daily strategy arrangement.  I always use Google docs to plan out my days and weeks of content creation so I have the ability to access it in the cloud at any time.

Shoot Simpler Videos And/Or Write Shorter Blog Posts Daily

As a suggestion, you can limit or tweak some of your content for example if you make videos or blog.  This might be a problem for some but some content is better than zero. I don’t think your quality would take a hit if you made some adjustments for your audience.

If you make videos, try making simpler or even shorter videos.  I understand different platforms allow for certain types of content. Or you can make longer videos as well.  This probably won’t compensate for quality but your audience will let you know in one form or another.

Writing shorter blog posts could be the thing for you also but on the flip side so could longer blog posts daily.  It’s all up to you in terms of your approach. The goal is to get you motivated doing what you love and still create quality content in these crazy times.

Have Conversations With People In Your Network About Work

Tapping into your network right now can be HUGE because you’re connected with people that are going through some of the same struggles.  Reach out to people because they are willing to have those discussions.

You might have a family with children and have to work from home now with complete chaos and challenges.  Someone else in your network is going through some of the same things and believe it or not wants to talk with you and share ideas on how to deal with it.

You might be having a tough time staying motivated or even creating content.  I’m here to tell you that you are definitely not alone and someone that is in the same place as you (in terms of content creation and/or business) is going through the exact thing.

Be Optimistic About How Your Content Will Help More People

Get excited about how your video, blog posts, social media posts, podcast episodes will help more and more people during these times.  There are way more people consuming content since the outbreak has become topic #1 and they have so much free time too.

With all eyes on their mobile devices and computer screens, that should give you a bit of optimism that the opportunity to get more eyes on your content will be beneficial to others and ultimately your brand as well.
